Those were my favorite words in Rome. The word “ciao” has this awesome ability to mean hello or goodbye, however when I use it in this context it’s awesomeness is directed to amplify the “goodbye” option. “GOODBYE ROME” is what I really wanted to shout when my plane to Paris took off. However the quiet little sweetheart that I apparently am did no such thing. But I thought it in my head. And it was really loud.
